Trying to get a realistic number, not the hyped-up version. What did it actually cost you to get going?

Less than most people tell you — but not zero. Realistically you need a domain (~$12/yr) and hosting (a few dollars a month), and everything else can start free. The bigger cost isn't money, it's consistency. I've watched people spend $2,000 on courses and quit, and others start with $50 and build something real. Start lean, reinvest what you earn.
